Now taking bets on how long it will take for him to decide this was a bad idea.

Thanks for reading, and see you next week! Next week's update is actually gonna come one day sooner here, on Tuesday! I'm actually planning on slowly getting this mirror to be one update ahead of Tapastic for ~*reasons*~ which will be revealed next week. The next seven updates will each be one day earlier until we're a full week ahead.

My bet is the following panel.

Ooo reasons.

While Din's genuine reaction was surprising, I love how sincere it is. Its rad <3

Respheal 8th Feb 2017, 1:28 PM edit delete reply

Almost certainly xD

~*reasons*~! But hey, means a sooner update next week, and the next, and the next...I'm gonna have to draw like a fiend to keep up.

To be honest, I was a little surprised, too. I know in writing sometimes characters will sorta get away from the author, but I didn't really expect that to happen in comicking O.o I guess it's just a sign that even I don't have a complete handle on Din's antics yet xD

Can confirm that is definitely a thing that happens.
I guess it's because, yes, writing them brings them to life, but then drawing them brings them to life even more? Maybe? Science?

Respheal 9th Feb 2017, 9:57 AM edit delete reply

Maybe?? xD I think maybe it's more drawing this has forced me to rewrite parts again, and with every rewrite I uncover something new. I dunno \o/ Also yeah, drawing does contribute since because words can only illustrate so much nuance in expression/body language.

good thing im on both.

Respheal 8th Feb 2017, 3:16 PM edit delete reply

Yeah! :D I kinda want to be able to keep Tapastic up to speed as well, but ah well, all good things coming, I hope \o/

It's clear that Conan and I have very different ideas on "plain stupid to do so". Then again, I guess he's either a) believes that there is some truth to I have to protect you but I can't tell you from what or b) he's falling for his charming good looks.

Respheal 8th Feb 2017, 4:02 PM edit delete reply

Maybe like 70% of A, 0% of B, and 30% of "welp, I'm apparently screwed, so might as well give this a shot."

*gasp* Din knows how to smile?? Like, in a non-evil way??
Also wow, those hands are really good!

Hmm, *reasons*... are you maybe applying to a webcomic collective like SpiderForest? In any case though, yay early updates :D

Respheal 8th Feb 2017, 4:05 PM edit delete reply

The man is full of surprises \o/

Thanks! I use a lot of reference pictures for hands, mostly photos of my own (which results in some interesting camera gymnastics) xD

I had considered Spider Forest, but I was kind of intimidated to be honest :V Something similar, though!

Is that a non-creepy smile from Din? That is a non-creepy smile from Din, ladies and gentlemen! :D

Haha, and I'm intrigued to see what you are planning...

Respheal 8th Feb 2017, 4:32 PM edit delete reply

IT WAS SO WEIRD TO DRAW. I was all "wtf who is this on my page??"

Bobblit 8th Feb 2017, 4:36 PM edit delete reply

Yeah, it doesn't really look like Din xD

azureXtwilight 8th Feb 2017, 9:01 PM edit delete reply

Conan, you have enough sass to swallow them both XD

Respheal 9th Feb 2017, 9:54 AM edit delete reply

Oh, he's just warming up the sass engines now >:D
